FAQ

Hello!  I’m so glad you are here!  November Morning is a mindful mama blog with a focus on simple living, family, doll-making, baking, knitting, sewing, photography, and a whole lot in between.

When I first started blogging in this format (personal blogging), I was a brand new mama and oh-so-intently focused on Parenting, with a capital P.  Granted, I do write about parenting, mothering, but in the last few years I, along with this space, have gained a little perspective and, I hope, a less narrow view…  This space is truly about the journey, our journey, and I’m so glad you’re all here.

And, so, the blog formerly know as Oh Baby O is now November Morning.
Welcome.  Please stay awhile.

xo,
Carrie

FAQ:

1.  How do you find time to knit/crochet/sew/craft/blog/etc?
AKA:  Are you SuperMom?

The answer to this could (and probably will) inspire many posts.  I do touch on this a bit here and here.  I also think it’s important to remember that what you see here is only a glimpse of our day-to-day.  I choose, for the most part, to use this space to focus on the beauty in ordinary moments.  As we all know, life is full of challenges and the unexpected.  My family is no exception.

2.  Do you sell the dolls you make?
Yes.  I have an Etsy shop here and a bit more about doll-making here.

3.  I made one of the recipes on your blog and it didn’t turn out.  What went wrong?
I’m not sure.  Short from standing in your kitchen next to you, there really isn’t any way for me to be sure where something might have gone awry.  I can try to help you speculate, but my best advice would be to try, try again!

4. How did you learn to knit/crochet?
By doing it… and messing up and trying again! Ravelry is also a wonderful resource!

5.  Can I sell items made from your patterns?
I feel that your finished object is your own work and therefore what you do with it is entirely up to you.  If you choose to sell something made from one of my patterns, I do ask that you credit your source.  I also think that for each item sold, it would be nice to have one given as well.

6. What kind of camera do you use?
I now use a Nikon D3100, usually with a 40 mm f/2.8 lens.  (I also have a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens.)  I previously used a Sony Mavica MVC CD500.  Really though, I believe it isn’t which camera you have but rather knowing how to use the one you have is what is most important.

7.  Can I link to your page/post/photo?
Absolutely!  However, please do not take any content from the site without my permission.  Thank you!

8.  What about product reviews?
I have not done product revies for quite sometime.  When I officially moved to November Morning, I decided to stop altogether.

If I’ve missed anything, please ask!
