It may not technically be Fall for a few more days but our reality has already felt the transition. The days have suddenly become so much cooler and noticeably shorter!
This past weekend we fully embraced the changing seasons. I switched our warm weather linens for the cool weather ones, pulled out our Autumn tablecloth and napkins and other seasonal decor. Then on Sunday we joined some lovely friends for apple picking!
Once we returned home, B roasted a chicken with some veggies and I baked a pie (with the apples we picked that morning) while O napped. It was a glorious Fall day full of warmth and fun.
I must admit, as the third trimester is upon us, that I am feeling especially grateful for the slowing down and more inward days ahead. How are you marking the transition of the seasons this year?
PS If anyone has a favorite apple recipe to share, I’d love to hear it!
