Springtime Longies

March 28, 2011

Though Spring has officially arrived, we’re still wearing our woolens on a daily basis.  Being a cloth-diapered babe, O wears his wool year ’round.

This latest pair of longies has been modified for warmer weather by knitting them in a lighter dk weight yarn and giving them a “board shorts” length.  With a 7″ inseam, they fit great with a little bit of room for growing.  I think we’re all looking forward to the day when it’s warm enough for O to enjoy them!  Until then, I’m back to sweater knitting!

What seasonal projects have you been working on?

That is a great idea. I have done capri’s for my girls before. It gets really hot here, though, so by August, they are mostly wearing bloomers. :) Haven’t done a boy in woolies, yet.

So cute! We, too, are looking forward to sunnier skies here in Seattle. My needles have been busy with two girly sweaters for Huck’s friend that is 2 weeks younger. She welcomed three (triplet) baby brothers today!! I’m also looking forward to casting on for a Shalom of my own as soon as they’re done.
