Summer has so quickly become Fall. I feel as if we don’t slow down, we might easily miss the transition. Before we know it, the trees will be bare and snow will cover the ground.
In a conscious effort to live more mindfully, we’ve been slowing down and taking notice of the seasonal changes around us.
O and I have been getting out to play in the mornings and we’re still taking our after dinner walks as a family.
The last few days, though, we’ve had to slow down even more. My sister has had a new baby, our great-grandmother has passed on, our brother will soon be visiting from across the country, and O has a little case of the sniffles.
Rather than get entirely caught up in what very well could be chaos, we’re taking it all in stride… and wrapping and knitting and reading and snuggling.
