Review & Give-Away: Snappi Diaper Fastener

November 12, 2009

*This give-away has been extended ’til Nov. 30th due to the holiday.*

Although modern cloth diapering has come a long way and is gaining popularity in mainstream parenting, I think many people still think of the old method of flats and pins when thinking of cloth diapering.  Today, one of the most inexpensive ways to cloth diaper your child is to use flats, prefolds, or contour diapers along with a cover.  Thanks to Snappi Baby, you no longer need pins to hold baby’s diaper in place, or risk poking your sweet little baby.

The Snappi Diaper Fastener comes in a variety of fun colors and is simple to use.  The fastener is T-shaped with grips on each of it’s three arms.  The material connecting each grip is stretchy and non-toxic.  Using the fastener is as simple as 1-2-3.  First, you attach the Snappi on one side of baby’s diaper.  Then, attach on the opposite side of the diaper.  Finally, stretch and hook the Snappi at the bottom, forming a Y-shape.

I have to admit, if it weren’t for Snappis, I probably wouldn’t use prefolds for Baby O.  They are easy to use and I feel much more safe with a Snappi!  I’m pretty sure my baby wouldn’t be the only one crying if I happened to poke him with a pin!  Snappis feature an excellent safety precaution.  When not in use, simply slide the stretchy tab over the Snappi grips and viola!  This helps not only protect people, but also any fabric you might have in close proximity to the Snappi, such as clothes in a diaper bag.

Snappi also makes a toddler size!

Snappi Diaper Fastener is meant only to be operated by persons 12 years and older.

Please be sure to review Snappi Diaper Fastener use and safety information on their website prior to use.
